Project Overview
Our recent project involved the intricate repainting of internal stadium steelwork to revitalise its appearance and ensure its longevity. Over time, the steelwork in such high-traffic environments can degrade due to wear, exposure, and structural strain. Our team began by meticulously preparing the surfaces, removing the safety grilles and new powder coating prepared off-site and re-fitted, prepping the steel structures and addressing any signs of corrosion. This stage is critical to ensure that the new coating adheres properly and provides lasting protection. Once prepared, we applied a high-performance coating system specifically designed for steel in demanding environments, ensuring it could withstand the test of time while enhancing the stadium’s overall aesthetic.
Working in a stadium setting presented unique challenges, particularly with accessibility and the need to minimise disruption to the venue’s operations. To address this, we employed advanced equipment and techniques, such as working at heights and in confined spaces, to achieve seamless results. Additionally, our scheduling was carefully planned to avoid interfering with events or daily operations. The completed project not only enhanced the visual appeal of the stadium’s interior but also provided a durable protective layer, safeguarding the steelwork from future wear and tear.
